<E36> Fuel tank filling unit leak.

Hello group,

My car developed a fuel leak a few days ago.  I filled up the tank and
parked it on a slope with the fuel door on the lower side, there was a
significant leak from somewhere in the fuel filling unit.  I then parked the
car in the other direction and the leak stopped.  Took the car to the dealer
immediately and they have suggested to replace the filling unit.  They also
told me that the fuel lines coming to the engine were rusted and I need to
replace them as well.  I don't know how much of that to believe.

Wanted to get your views and if you have seen this happen.  The car is 318i,
94 with 78k miles.
