E36 17" Maximum Tire Size

Hi everyone,

Just bought myself some 17" Fittipaldi Tubular wheels (17" x 8") for my '97
E36 328i. Now I need to find some tires for these, but I'm unsure on which
size I should go with for maximum performance without rubbing. Should I go
with 235/45/17's all around, or should I go with a lower profile such as
235/40/17?  I'm assuming that 245's would be overkill for a 328i.. but
looking for opinions or suggestions!! Also, any commends on the Fittipaldi
wheels? Good, bad.. ? I was told that they're a premium wheel made in
Italy.. I hope someone can confirm that! :)  Thanks!
