re: exhaust nut removal

re: Exhaust nut removal:
These things are all tried and true.
1. for brute force, 15" handle Big Bertha style Channel Lock pliers,
also called Water Pump Pliers. Awesome grip and leverage.
2. Chisel the nut out of existence, once it cracks in half, who cares
about needing to turn it anymore. there is actually a type of chisel
tip called and "exhaust chisel".
3. Mapp gas torch. get glowing hot, spray WD40 into hot threads. Crank
away with 6 sided, not 12 sided box wrench, not socket or open ended.
4. If there is enough stud sticking out, use the channel locks on the
stud and remove the stud, since you ought to replace the stud anyway if
the nut was that stuck on it to begin with. Frequently, it is corrosion
on the stud that causes the nut to fuse to it or not be able to turn.
Use _red loctite when installing new exhaust studs. Beside the tight
insertion, Red Loctite will also seal the thread gaps so you won;t get
oil leak seepage through the stud threads from inside the head.
