They are a ZF parts distributor and priced the Exxon ATF for my '97 540i at 
about $15 liter.  I bet the Shell ATF will be priced similar.  

Your transmission holds 9 liters of ATF and it is difficult to get it all 
changed.  One recommendation is to annually replace the three quarts you get 
when you open the drain plug.
