Funny thing about windshields. There is no such thing as an OEM windshield
anymore. Believe it or not, there are only 3 or 4 windshield manufacturers
out there and all automobile manufacturers sub-contract the manufacturing of
the windshields to these various companies. Replacement quality will be the
same for the most part. If you go directly to BMW for a replacement you'll
probably end up paying double what you would pay at a windshield replacement
specialist. I speak from experience since I used to work for a autoparts
wholesaler.
