FW: Front End Problem

I just bought my wife a 1990 525i with over 150k miles.  The car looks and
runs great (not nearly the power of my 85 535i), but I notice a severe
shutter in the front end on rough spots at speeds over about 40 MPH.  It is
especially noticeable on turns such as freeway exits.  I looked for obvious
bad joints, but did not see or feel anything loose underneath.  Any
suggestions?
