Could it be my clutch??

Greetings all!!

Okay here's the deal.  My car is a 95 325i with 129k.  Lately I've been 
having problems with my clutch.  It's the original clutch.  I'm not too sure 
if it's the clutch or the cylinder for the pedal.  Here's what happens.  
Sometimes the clutch gets very "soft" and the engagement point drops.  I had 
to remove my clutch stop because of this.  Sometimes it's a little too 
"springy" and it feels like it's gonna pop.  The engagement point picks up 
again.  There's no fluid leakage near the clutch pedal and the fluid 
reservoir is full.  There are no symptoms before it happens it just does it 
whenever it wants too.  The clutch pedal doesn't sag and returns all the way 
up.  What the heck could be the problem?? Could my clutch be taking a dump 
on me soon??  Any help or insight would be appreciated.  TIA!!!
