Gasket Goo(was E30 waterpump)

If so, which side(s) of the gasket?

I like Hi-Tack spray gasket sealer. Spray both sides of the gasket and the
flange of the pump. Let it dry for a few minutes, and install. It will
make assembly much easier as it will glue the gasket to the water pump so it
doesn't fall off while you put the bolts in.

Any other goo will work.."Tite seal" is an old favorite, but they took the
asbestos out :-(

91 325iC (New waterpump, timing belt, tensioner, etc. The pump was
okay(60k miles), but the labor was free as I already needed to be in there
for the timing belt R +R)
