administrivia: brief experiment with spews.org, now significantly cut back

a couple of days ago, i tried using "spews.org", a spam control site,
to cut back on the incoming spam.

while it certainly did that, there was significant collateral damage;
spews is far too agressive for my taste. i have cut back on how much
of the spews system i am using and may cut back some more.

also, i've been extremely buried for the past several weeks, coding up
the demo for the (still unfunded) startup. i've got quite an email
backlog as a side effect. i hope to catch up soon...
