RE: Need panel beater in Sydney, Australia

Ok so I'm no specialist about colour matching, but I do know that most panel
beaters seem to have difficulty colour matching the Arctic Silver of my E39
BMW.

I believe it's do with the fact that all car bodies fade, so trying to blend
it is important, and apparently somewhat more difficult with metallic
colours.

So having said that I personally would pay the bit extra to go to a BMW
recommended one, simply because it's a bit of a let down when you come to
pick your car up and you can tell even from walking up to your car that the
panel is a slightly different colour.

With regards to suggestions, I've done a couple of BMW recommended in
Sydney. My suggestion is Paddington Prestige, Damien is the shop manager
there (don't ask how I've come to get to know these guys so well, cos it
wasn't in a good way!) Ph 02 9331 1168.

Either that or Alto BMW at Artarmon have now got paint and repair. I would
have thought that since Alto are a dealership, service and now repair they
would be excellent, however they still seem to have some difficulties colour
matching (whereas I've never been able to tell with Paddington Prestige).

If you do get down to Paddington Prestige, would appreciate if you said I
said hello to Damien down there from me, as I've now moved to London.

Regards,

Marcus Lee
