E34 alternator specs needed.

Does anyone know the correct voltage & amperage on the '92 E34 535i 
alternator? Max Min?
Does anyone know if the voltage regulator can be replaced on this model? or 
how to test it to see if it's bad. Voltage seems to be O.K. @ 14.4V but amps 
seem high @ 64 amps with most accessories on.
