E36 idle

My 1995 325i is having idle problems when I start it from cold.  The idle is
very low and very lumpy until I give it some gas and it smooths out after 20
seconds or so.  Any thoughts on what this is?  The usual suspects might be
idle control valve, temperature sensor for cold start valve, bad cold start
valve and maybe something else.

I'd appreciate any input especially if this is a common thing.  The car has
~60K miles.  Thanks.
