Overheating Engine - Update

Thanks for all the direct replies I got with suggestions for why my 87 520i
was overheating when standing still.  I think I have the culprit now.  I let
the engine get pretty hot, then stopped the engine and tested the fan - yes,
it was turning as free as a spinning top!  So the viscous clutch is clearly
gone.  Hope to get that changed today and see if that fixes it.
