question on directionality of 5/8 series "throwing star" wheel

I have a set of "throwing star", 2 piece 17" wheels.

Here is my question, each of the 5 spokes ends at the wheel lip with a flared 
end. Each end has a tip, one side is long, one side is short.

When the wheel is rotating forward, which end should be going forward, 
"biting" into the wind?

Please advise. Thanks
