Time Serts for my 94 318i

Hello gentlemen,

I just blew out a spark plug on the way to work this morning.  The plug came
completely out of the block and I can't rethread a plug back into the hole.
Is there a way that I can install Time serts or rethread this myself?  If so
what thread size time serts would I need? Would it require me removing the
head or can I attempt it from the top of the engine?  The plugs are located
on the top unlike the 6 cylinder engines.
