New backlights are about $25 from the dealer. Instructions for replacement
may be found at
http://www.unofficialbmw.com//e30/electrical/e30_obc_light.html . If you're
handy with a soldering iron you can pick up a pair of 6V lamps from Radio
Shack and replace the burned out ones. LEDs can be used with the appropriate
resistor.
