Your first choice should be the Bentley book, http://www.bentleypublishers.com
Only if your BMW isn't covered by a Bentley, should you even bother with a
Haynes, http://www.haynes.com
As a very last resort, or if you ran out of paper towels to clean your
hands, get a Chiltons, http://www.chiltonsonline.com

You can order them all through http://www.amazon.com or http://www.bn.com
or http://www.borders.com
Your local NAPA or Pep Boyz or AutoZone probably has Haynes and Chiltons.
