I have a 1985 535i. Two years ago the automatic tranny went out and it cost
$1500. to completely overhaul. Two years and 50,000 miles later it is out again.
The tranny guy says it sounds like the clutches but I need to take it in. Is
this a common problem? How much should it cost?
