M60 Oil Filter Cap removal...

Those of you out there with a 4 litre V8 M60 engine, how do you take the cap
off the oil filter cap.  Is there a special tool to be used, or does it just
come off with a crescent wrench?  Please give me a clue as I don't want to
screw up my oil filter housing.  Drop me a line if you know the answer.
