Hi, I have a question on my '95 M3.
The bentley manual says that I need to replace the O2 sensors every 50K. Do
I really need to do this?? I don't feel like changing 3 sensors. ($80x3 =
$240)
BTW, my current mileage is approaching 61K.
I'd like to know the answer to this too because I've never changed the sensor on
my trusty '89 325i and the engine runs/idles/pulls just fine. The car has always
passed its annual UK emission test without any problems (having said that I don't
know how stringent the test is in that respect). The state of the plugs is as
near perfect as I would wish, as are the injectors (no deposit buildup to speak
of) Mileage is now 210km! The O2 sensor passes the check described in Bentley
(Ch8-11 in mine).
