Sharked or Spielberged?

Ok, so whose gonna give me the late summer blockbuster answer to the
shortest shock question ever asked about BMW Conforti Shark
conversion--wil it be the BMW digest, or the sad mispuchas (sp/) at uuc
digest???
Ready, go..in one sentence...
How does one know if the reprogramming sequence has worked? I have
a E36 328ic and just drove like an idiot in front of my wife down the A
road (rte.9 Natick, Mass) to try and prove to myself it raised the
redline cut-off to 7,000, as advertised. NOT! It cut-out at 6,700 in
first gear, and about the same in 2nd! The instruction sheet simply
doesn't say how to detect it after you do the LED sequence, and does not
tell you how to find out if you have a problem. BEWARE OF INCOMPLETE
INSTRUCTIONS!
At this point, I am waiting til Monday to contact Eurosport, but
hoping someone can tell me what to look for, short of "restoring" the
original programming and then doing it again. The only boo-boo I might
have made is not waiting "at least 20 seconds before removing the "Shark
Detector""..I did it about 15 after the green LED end of sequence
indicator came on.
Help,I've been Spielberged out of a real Sharking, yes, no,
maybe,,sequel to follow!
