E30 Removing the Dash

I'm working on my project e30. I'm puting in new
carpet and a dash. Does anyone know how to get the
dash off? The carpet goes right up to the front where
the dash comes down. I can't get the carpet out. Any
help as to how to get the dash and carpet out would be
great. I'm going to be taking the windows out on this
car soon would this help?
