*&^(&(F(*(*&S Glove box/AC micro filter

Ok, me and my 96 328iS are having problems.  Last night I happily unwrapped my
new micro filter and proceeded to read the Bentley on installing said
item.  It
says to remove the 6 screws holding the glove box and pull out the glove box.
Ok, I took out the six screws shown, carefully placed them so I knew which
came
from where and then tried to pull on the box carefully as not to break
anything.  Ok, pull again. ---there goes that neat pile of screws, Ok, look
around, pull the light out of the box.  Pull, look around, pull.  Pull real
&*$_+* HARD.  No luck.  Put everything back together losing the backing to the
upper screw on the drivers side.  (Trip to the dealer tomorrow?) What is the
deal with getting the glove box out.  Is there something holding it in there
that manual doesn't mention?  (Like maybe a 8" in diameter bolt attached to
the
engine block?)  Thanks for the help!
