differential ratio identification

for all of those trying to determine
what ratio is in you car,
crawl underneath the rear of the car,
and look at the differential cover.
One of the bolts holding the cover on
should have a small metal tag acting as a washer.
This tag will have letters and numbers on it,
as in the following
S315.....  is a 3.15 limited slip
S323.....  is a 3.23 limited slip
346......  is a 3.46 open

the "S" designates limited slip, or locking.
