I talked to my pal from Car & Driver and he agreed that it would be
counterproductive for me, especially because I sit in LA traffic a lot.

But you can buy a cold air intake, heat shield etc. I just chose for the K&N
insert. I may not hear it, but I definitely felt the difference, since my
old filter was disgusting. I'd recommend it and it's much cheaper.
