Vinyl repair?

I've got a half inch tear in my driver's door panel and am wondering if
anyone has found a respectable fix for this?

I've seen the commercials on TV for a miracle product (although not in a
while) my dealer wants $200 to repair this, and a 2" scratch in the
leather seat.  Neither is particularly noticable to anyone but me, so
it's not worth $200...but I thought I'd ask.
