RWD In The Snow

In response to Michael Reilly's question..... I had a 1998
528 5 speed until this winter and now have a new 540 6
speed.  Prior to the BMWs I drove quite a variety of cars,
most of them FWD.  For the other cars I used to just leave
the all seasons on.  For each of the BMWs I put snow tires
(P210s) on a second set of BMW wheels.  I have never had a
problem in the snow and from time to time in Canada we get a
bit of snow!  I find the DSC does a great job of keeping the
tires digging in if I am just a bit reasonable on the gas.
The BMWs might actually do a bit better than the other FWD
cars I had... probably because of the snow tires.  So,
invest in some good snows and drive on!
