E30 Rims?

I am looking for rims for my 87' 325is. I was wondering the offset and 
general info about what I should get. I was wondering how big can i go 
without the tires rubbing? Im looking at 17 by 7 or 7.5 but i was wondering 
i if i could like an 18 by 8 wheel on my car. Ive been looking at Tire Rack 
and Discount Tire Direct. Is there any place you would reconmend I go to 
find rims for my car? Also it seems rims for my car a scarce, what rims do 
you reconmend(company?)? I appreciate any of your help, thank you.
