ECU/Camshaft/O2 sensor <E28>

Now that I've apparently found my source of excessive fuel 
consumption (bad injector plus bad cold start injector), my 
technician has suggested I run the car without the O2 sensor.  The 
reason being the Shrick cam not being compatible with the O2 sensor 
(at idle the engine "runs" up and down).  Is this something I should 
do?  Should I consider using a chip in the ECU?  I have the stock 
ECU.
