Having grown up (well, grown old, anyway) in Wisconsin winters, it's a
fairly common practice to kick the snow/ice/crap out of the wheels and
wheel wells while scraping the latest round of Old Man Winter off the
windows.  Dear ol' dad taught me that in Driving 101 before I ever set
buns behind the wheel.  Happens all the time!  And since it didn't cost
you any money, it's kinda funny!  :D
