M3 Tires

I needed to replace my M3 Sedan 98 tires. I went shopping over the
internet got around $1,100 plus shipping for a full set of Michelin
Pilot SX (stock) tires. Since several (most of them) needed to special
order the tires and it will take two-three weeks. I decided to check my
local sears in Southern Cal. TO my surprise they could have 'em within
three days. They did, but the front tires were Pilot Sports, so they
re-order the front tires -- no biggie. Anyway I decided to let them
install the rear tires since they were the ones with less thread. TO my
dismay -- I was watching very closely the whole process -- The Sear's
tech HAD to saw off the old tires in order to take 'em off!! It took
TWO mechs ( or whatever they are) Almost two hours to replace my rear
tires!

My questions: Is this a 'normal' time for two tires on a M3? Do I need
to take the M3 to a M3 tire specialist ?

If I need a specialist, who do you recommend in Southern CAL.

Thanks,

Happy New YEAR!
