<E36 M3> Mirror theft

Im fed-up with the mirror theft situation, anyone have
a good security system to stop it on their M3??

3 weeks after buying my M3 the mirrors were nicked and
the doors damaged in the process, total cost nearly
2000pounds. At the same time if you look in the car
ad's (eg loot and several others) you will find many
suspicious ad's for 'real M3 mirrors' some without
base-plates or some damaged where they should not be,
at a 'bargain' price of about 60-100pounds. The thief
gains about 80pounds for the mirrors while M3 owners
like me have a 2000pound bill to the insurance
company, loosing all my no-claims and paying excess of
750pounds for vandalism.

In the end these mirrors are probably going to be
stuck on golfs etc, why cant the owners of these cars
buy the M3-style mirrors made to fit thier car? They
would look better, fit better/easier and help reduce
everybodies insurance premiums!
