Definitions Requested

BMW Digest,

Can anyone provide a list of engine numbers for the various BMW models,
e.g., based on reading the digest, I THINK an E36 is a 325i.  For example,
what is the number for my '89 535i?

Also, is there a good source for purchasing a mid-level shop manual for
535i's?  What would really be nice is one on a CD rom, but I would settle
for purchasing a hard copy.
