E30 M3 DEAD!!

My E30 M3 is in a pretty similar state. It does provide spark though.
I left it standing through a cold week and it refused to start.
Its now in hands of BMW dealer who has has spent 3 hours diagnosing and
charging me for the privelige....and he is no where nearer the cause!!
He says that my car wont talk to his DIS diagnostics machine because it is
an import!! Is he feeding me porkies?
