<E36>Instruments Trick

Hi,

Just wanted to know if anyone knows what the codes mean that are displayed
when you perform the "Instruments Trick" described below ??

1. With the ignition key off, hold in the tripmeter reset button
2. Switch on the ignition to the accessory position.
3. Release the tripmeter reset button and watch the odometer display
    several values and then the dials go through a test sequence.
