BMW wheels

I was wondering if anyone on the net can tell me if AST wheels are either a
copy of BMW wheels or they make them for BMW.  I saw some AST wheels w/ 10
cross spokes.  The BMW emblem fits nicely over the center piece.  And they
look pretty convincing.  The sales person said that AST made rims for BMW
so that I was getting the real thing.  Can anyone confirm that?  Thanks.
