e28 535i window and sunroof question

Greetings,

I have an 87 535i, and last weekend a friend of mine who used to have an
85 535i said that on his car you could put the key in the drivers door
lock and turn and hold the key to the right. This would shut the sunroof
and windows, if left open. He suggested I try it on mine, but it didn't
work. Is this something that it should do, or was it perhaps an option
that I don't have?
