E36 Blistering door panels

My 93 325is right door panel insert covering just became totally separated from the panel itself.
In the area where one would rest their arm. I understand that this is a common problem but do not know if 
it was discussed on the digest before. 
Does anyone know of a fix or a cheap source for a replacement. The dealer wants 280$
