'00 540: GOT IT! Wooo-hoooo!!!!!!!

Hi, all.

Just wanted to share some joy with my fellow BimWads!!  I picked up my '00 
540i/6 on Thursday night.  Hot damn!  Whattacar!!  I had a '97 528i 5-speed.  
I have been amazed at how much MORE compliant the sport suspension on the '00 
is compared to the standard one on the '97.  There's one HUGE step up in the 
pavement en-route to my office, and the impact harshness with the 540's sport 
suspension is actually LESS than in the '97.

Also, there's been a lot of little improvements in the systems; for example, 
the steering wheel controls now are more useful to operate the CD player.  
The nav system and the CRT have many more display options -- and they make a 
big difference.

I'm not sure I like the auto-dimming rear-view mirror.  Anybody know if its 
sensitivity is adjustable?

And the nav system itself seems to have undergone a sex change.  In my '97, 
it was a male voice.  In the '00, it's female.  It gives directions that are 
clearer and more helpful -- it communicates better!  :-) (Bulletproof vest 
and flameproof underwear are now both in place!)

I hope all of you have a GREAT weekend -- much of mine will be framed by the
