The car needs new upper control arm (thrust) bushings. I've never seen an E24 or E28 that doesn't need them. Replace them before even thinking about new brake rotors. Your options are:
1) new E28 M5 bushings - JUNK - get them from your favorite "stealer"
2) modified E32 750il bushings - better performance than stock, not much more expensive, last twice as long - get them from Steve D. at the Ultimate Garage
3) Polyurethane bushings - much more expensive, so I don't recommend them unless you take the car to lots of track events and autocrosses - BMP sells them
I also recommend installing new upper control arms at the same time since you have over 100k miles. The ball joint, which is integral with the arm, doesn't last forever.
I have pictures of bushings up at: http://home.earthlink.net/~teamdfl/bushings.html

Need some advice from the seasoned DIY-ers
Getting a lot of wobbling and pulsating upon braking, maybe its normal but
I'd like to diagnose & address it, any idea how much it would cost to fix.
Stock M5 '88 with 112k milage.
Is this caused by:
1) Uneven braking pressure -- will changing brake fluid cure it? If so, is
this difficult to do myself?
2) Alignment is fine, new tires, perhaps its time for front end PM work?
3) Warped rotors, please say its not so........
Anyone with advice please respond here or directly by email
Thanks.....Marty Martyme104@domain.elided
