2002 Odometer Problem

Fellow Bimmerphiles:
Well, I finally achieved my goal--my first car being a BMW! (I'm 17.) I have
a 1975 2002...pretty much of a project car. Anyway, I recently got a used
speedometer off of an old 2002 parts car and put it into mine...the needle
works great, but the odometer doesn't...is there any easy way of fixing this
problem? Please offer any advice...thanks so much!
