question on 97' M3 rear tire wear!!!!!!!!!

My friends got a 97' M3. It goes through JUST the right rear tire each 5K 
miles. The left is fine. The fronts are fine. Right rear SMOOTH in 5k miles!

What gives?

Please, no jokes about burning rubber or track use. Neither apply to him. He 
drives WAY to conservatively.
