Turn Service Lights Red

Hey everyone, I have a task for you.  Does anyone know how to make the
service lights turn red faster?  My brother gets his service free of charge
on his 97 M3, but only when the lights indicate he needs it.  He would
prefer to have the lights turn red every 3000 miles.  So, I was wondering if
anyone had figured out how to not reset the lights, but make them turn red.
