Differential questions!

To all fellow BMW owners,

Can someone please tell me what type of diff. this part number represents: 1
210 433.

Right next to it is a metal tag held on by a bolt: S 3,25 5S52.

I have an 1991 E30 M3 Convertible, I had a replacement diff. recently and
would like to confirm if this is the correct diff. for it. 

In terms of max. speed and acceleration, what is the diffence between a 3,25
diff. and a 4,10 diff.?
