Air box

I keep hearing how restrictive the air box are in the 85 325e, and I'm just
wondering if anyone knows if there is a better air box (less restrictive)
from a different model BMW that would fit into my car, or are they all they
all the same when it comes to air flow. The other option is to go to a K&N
filter but I hear they have their own problems to. Any info would be
appreciated. Thanks
