BMW 1600 Parts
The BMW that started it all !
Several 1600 parts were replaced in the recent past and many remain
available in excellent condition----
Engine--
Head.
Recently remachined. Perfect condition.
Lower end.
Needs pistons, and I will supply a
source name and number of a
bargain
priced, brand new set of OEM pistons.
Fuel pump #1 ( 300 miles )
Fuel pump #2 ( old but reliable )
Weber carb ( 300 miles )
Solex carb ( old but still
performing well. This one barrel
design ALWAYS has performed well but
apparently is much maligned because of the
two barrel version's design
flaws ) Water pump (
10,000 miles. A new pump arrived bolted
to new
engine ) Starter and
solenoid (Reliable. New engine arrivalbolted-on)
Timing cover, gears, and chain (all reliable )
Exhaust manifold and heat
shield Intake manifold
Doughnut air filter and
housing Oil pump, chain,
dipstick and housing
Clutch....pressure plate(3
fingers), release bearing, disc,
Flywheel 200mm All in very good condition.
Upper end engine parts
Let's send these parts to a useful home.
