cd changer not working "disk error" Message (E36)

Hello all,

Okay I found the fuse box and replaced the blown fuse but I still get 
that dammed "disk error" message.  Does anyone out there know what 
could be causing this?  I have cleaned the changer checked all the 
disks and everything seems okay.  Has this happened to anyone out 
there before?  When I take out the cd cartridge and put it back in it 
will work for a while but it's very unpredictable and annoying.  Any 
help is greatly appreciated.  (Alpine 5 head unit, BMW 014 cd changer)
