Antony, I've never had this problem on my car that I've noticed. I have a
Jim C chip, K&N air filter, and as of this Thursday a new M3 exhaust will be
installed. My car is a 1992 non-vanos 325i, automatic transmission and now
has 126,000 miles on it. Make sure all your routine service is done, fluids,
spark plugs,
filters, etc. Perhaps your 02 sensor is getting ready to go? I had some
rough running when
mine started to go... although I can't imagine it wouldn't occur more
sporadically than just
at higher rpms on the interstate. The M50 doesn't need any tune-ups because
it has
self-adjusting valves.

John
