<e36> factory alarm self-install

Hello everyone!  I was thinking of installing the factory alarm/keyless in
my '98 318ti.  Is this feasible for a somewhat beginner to do?  My dealer
wants like $400 to do the whole thing and I think I can get the part for
less than $300.  Does the kit come with everything I need and
instructions? Has anyone done this?
