Geneva autoshow: misc notes

Some misc. notes from the Geneva Autoshow...

- - Jaguar S-class has place in dash for the cellular phone to be stored
  out of sight, but one push and it pops out and rotates to useable
  position.   Given size of glove box, once CD changer is mounted
  inside, it is needed since glove box is too small for phone.

- - New model BMW: the 740d, with V8 turbo diesel generating 560NM
  between 1750-2500 RPM. 

- - Alpina variant of above diesel available in 5er body.    Is this
  Alpina's first diesel?

- - Handa S2000 roadster has very bare interior.   To enhance bare-ness,
  radio is hidden behind hinged panel but remote volumn control on
  stalk behind steering wheel.   Tach is analogue with digital
  speedomenter in middle of it.

- - Land Rover Discovery has coin holder.   Do they have off-road toll
  booths in Africa?   Or maybe you need to toss coins at the native
  children to get them out of your path :-).

- - Alpha Romeo has again figured out how to style a seden that doesn't
  look like it has already been crushed.

- - Audi's TT roadster is out with seperate softtop and hdardtop
  models.   Both have very different styling.
